Carlton forward Eddie Betts has capped off another consistent season, being named Carlton’s only 2012 All-Australian nominee.
 
This is the second year running that the 25 year old has been named in the 40 man All-Australian squad.
 
Finishing off the season as Carlton’s leading goal kicker, Eddie booted 48 goals in 22 games, significantly ahead of his counterpart, Jeff Garlett who finished the season with 29 goals.
 
A Carlton fan favourite, Eddie has been instrumental in nearly all of the Blues win’s this season.
 
He kicked five goals in Carlton’s big win against Collingwood in Round three and had a significant impact in their narrow defeat against Richmond in Round 18, racking up 18 disposals and kicking four goals.
 
The All Australian Selection panel is Andrew Demetriou (chairman), Adrian Anderson, Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Danny Frawley, Gerard Healy, Glen Jakovich and Mark Ricciuto.
 
`The final 22 man All Australian team will be announced on September 17.
