A look at the people who attended the funeral service for Frank Finn was an indication of just what Frank meant to the Carlton Football Club.

Stephen Kernahan, David Parkin, Anthony Koutoufides, Ang Christou, Adrian Gleeson, Brett Ratten, Lance Whitnall, Rod Ashman and Col Kinnear were among the mourners at the Craigieburn Church on Thursday. They were joined by current and former staff from the Club, together with family and friends to say farewell to Frank.

A long-time servant of the Club, Frank worked with the property steward and was boot studder for many years, starting with the Under 19s before working with the seniors.

As well as his love of the Carlton Football Club, Frank’s true team work was also evident through his 60 year association with the Footscray Swimming and Water Polo Club.

Frankie Finn was a much loved character around the Carlton Football Club who battled illness in the last couple of years but still visited the club when he could. He will be remembered as a true club stalwart who was a great team player for Carlton off the field.

The Club extends our condolences to his family, in particular his wife Annette, daughter Denise and son Gregory.

RIP Frank Finn
