FROM an East Fremantle Shark to Ikon Park.
New draftee Jack Carroll has taken a similar path to the AFL as his new co-captain - and recent lunch mate - Patrick Cripps.
Both come from the Mid West, with Cripps’ local Northampton not far from where Carroll grew up in Geraldton.
One of his idols growing up as an emerging midfielder, Carroll - who was taken with pick No.41 in the 2020 NAB AFL Draft - can’t wait to join him in training next season.
“To be on the same team as ‘Crippa’, I’m super stoked and can’t wait to meet him,” Carroll told the West Australian.
“I’ve looked up to him for a long time now and he’ll definitely be somebody I can learn off.”
As soon as Carroll joined the Club, he got messages from not only Patrick Cripps, but all the Carlton players congratulating him for joining the Blues.
“My phone is going crazy at the moment,” Carroll said.
“I’m just pumped to get over there and start training.”
