CARLTON has confirmed its jumper numbers for the 2025 AFLW season.

With six new Blues joining the Club for the upcoming campaign and the list now finalised, the key order of business is locking in who wears what next season.

Kicking things off is Poppy Scholz, who was the Blues’ first pick when she was selected with pick No.6 in the 2024 Telstra AFL Women’s Draft earlier this week.

Scholz will wear the No.7 guernsey, aligning with the AFL program which saw opening pick Jagga Smith receive the same number.

The next lot of new numbers goes to the Blues’ new Irish recruits in Aisling Reidy and Síofra O’Connell.

Continuing a particular trend in that portion of the locker room, Reidy will wear the No.13 and O’Connell No.14, meaning the childhood best friends will be once again right alongside one another.

They’ll also be in close proximity to counterparts Dayna Finn and Erone Fitzpatrick.

Loulou Field, selected by the Blues in the third round on Monday night, will wear the double numbers of No.33 in her first campaign in Navy Blue.

For childhood Bluebagger Tara Bohanna, the former Gold Coast Sun chose the No.42 when she arrived in Navy Blue, with her partner wearing No.42 at the Suns as well as being a big fan of fellow left-footer, Adam Saad.

Rounding things out is Sophie McKay, in the most unique way possible.

The No.5 guernsey has gone through the generations of the McKay family, with Andrew establishing a Hall of Fame career in Navy Blue before Abbie then made the number her own upon her arrival at the Club.

So, naturally, McKay will honour that family tradition in the No.55 guernsey - a number that has only been represented at Carlton senior level seven times, and never in its AFLW team.

Talk about making your own history.
