Jarrad Waite has fully recovered from concussion that saw him leave the ground during the second quarter of the season opening game last Thursday night. Waite, together with Kane Lucas, became part of AFL history as the players involved in the first substitute in AFL history.

Waite has been training with the team in preparation for Saturday night’s historic match against the Gold Coast Suns at the Gabba.

In further good news for both Waite and Carlton the AFL confirmed this afternoon that there would be no action taken over an incident with Luke McGuane during the opening quarter on Thursday night.

There had been some media speculation regarding the incident but the AFL confirmed this afternoon that after examining footage and receiving a medical report from Richmond, it was determined that the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. Further the Match Review Panel was not satisfied that there was any attempt on the part of Waite to connect with greater force.
