Dennis Armfield's answers
Dennis Armfield answers some of your questions from the game against the Western Bulldogs
Hi Dennis,
Poor effort by the team yesterday but you are one that can hold your head high as you were probably the only player that kept trying. You're a gun that still has heaps of improvement left in you so well done.
Just wondering, after such a deflating loss, if the boys will do anything during the week as a team, without coaches, to try and basically re-group or bond?
Dennis Armfield: Hi Georgina. Yeah look it was a disappointing result yesterday, very unlike the blues we want to be known as. Thanks for the positive feedback, but still lots of improvements to be had, but individual success isn’t what I’m out there for, team success is what I’m after. The boys will try to bond this week, nothing has been proposed yet, but it’s just as important we focus on Sydney now and start to support one another.

hey dennis
U had a good game 2 day the next 2 games are must win before our collingwood clash do u think we can win all 3 we have to beat sydney and west coast are we going to approach those games as season on the line thanks
Dennis Armfield: Thanks for the question David. At this point every game is as important as the next, we can’t afford to get ahead of ourselves, Sydney is our major focus, and we will address the other games afterwards. So in answering your question, yes I think we can beat Sydney this week.

Hi dennis, poor kicking by the team yesterday going in the foward 50 and around the ground we need better against the swans but i thought your run was very good through the middle and half back keep it up mate the team needs more of that, and is hendo's knee all right we need him, just one more thing when will fisher be back he kicked four goals on the weekend and the week before.GOOD LUCK ANGAINST THE SWANS..... GOOOO THE MIGHTY BLUES....
Dennis Armfield: G’day Gary, yeah our disposals wasn’t great yesterday, it is something we will address throughout the week. Inside 50 is something we will be working hard on out on the track. As for Hendo’s knee, he copped a corkie just above it, I am sure he will do everything in his power to get it right for this week against Sydney. Fisher is playing some great footy after coming back for LARS surgery and is definitely putting his name up for selection, which is putting pressure on the boys to perform.

hi dennis your game was great yesterday but as a team it was very very poor yesterday the last 6weeks has been disapointing no hardness at the ball to many recievers and no passion how can we turn it around
Dennis Armfield: Tony thanks for the praise, but it’s the team we are more worried about, I think it far out ways a personal performance. I think we have just slipped a bit in intensity at the ball, I am positive against Sydney you will notice a lot more boys competing hard in one on one contests. We can definitely turn it around and we will.

Hey Dennis,
How are u feeling after the knock with Brett??
Go Blues!
Silv
x
Dennis Armfield: Ha ha good question Silv, very sore but it’s all part of the game. I told Bret to do it again if he had the chance, we need to see more of it from our big men, crashing the packs. I know I’m feeling sore now but if we get more of that competitive nature as a team then the results will come. So I will put up with the pain to get a gain from the team.

GO THE BLUES!!!
What happen man we wore finally tipped to lose a match and when that usually happens we get up and win. i want to know how do we beat the teams like st kilda and geelong but we cant beat the teams that we would think we had a chance to beat
Dennis Armfield: Stani, very good question, when we are playing bold, corridor footy and taking teams on we look very good. But we also have to remember, stopping a goal is far more important than kicking one. I think against good sides we really come focused in all areas, however if we aren’t 100% switched on then we seem to fall away in areas. Against Sydney it will be about winning the one on one contest for the full 120 minutes.
