Carlton has made three changes to the side that defeated GWS at Etihad Stadium last Sunday, for Monday night’s match against St Kilda at the same venue.

As expected the three players who missed last week’s match and were added to the 25-man squad named on Thursday, Chris Judd, Jarrad Waite and Ed Curnow, have all been included in the final 22.

The three unlucky players to be left out of the final team are Bret Thornton, Kane Lucas and Josh Bootsma. All three being named emergencies for Monday night’s round 7 match.

Thornton has played four games in 2012, taking his total to 185 while Kane Lucas has played a total of 16 matches for the Blues, including all six this season. Josh Bootsma will return to the Northern Blues after making his AFL debut against GWS in what was a memorable occasion for the young recruit from WA.

Carlton will have a final training session at Visy Park at 9:00am on Sunday (Mother’s Day) with supporters invited to attend. The session is slightly earlier than usual to cater for the VFL matches being played at Visy Park on Sunday. The Northern Blues will play Sandringham with the reserves commencing at 11:00am and the seniors, featuring Thornton, Lucas and Bootsma, kicking off at 2:00pm
