MAKE it three.

Carlton will blood a third Club debutant on Thursday night, with Francis Evans to run out for the Blues against the Tigers.

With Lucas Camporeale and Nick Haynes also playing their first games for the Club, Evans will pull on the Navy Blue in front of 80,000 people at the MCG for the traditional clash.

It caps off a wild few weeks for Evans, who was originally signed to the Carlton Reserves for the 2025 campaign after 17 games last season for Port. He was a supplemental selection period signing for the Blues four weeks ago - now, he’s readying himself for his first game with his new club in front of a capacity crowd.

Evans is a small forward who prides himself on his pressure and team-first approach, with the Brunswick local getting his first taste of action as a Blue in the AAMI Community Series against GWS, kicking a final-quarter goal.

Camporeale will become Carlton player No.1242, Evans Carlton player No.1243 and Haynes Carlton player No.1244 once the ball is bounced.

Sam Walsh will play his first Round 1 game since 2021, while it was confirmed earlier in the day by Michael Voss that Jack Silvagni will play his first game in 600 days in a new role down back.

There’ll be a youthful feel to the Blues on Thursday night, with Lachie Cowan, Jesse Motlop, Ollie Hollands, Camporeale and Cooper Lord all aged 21 or under heading into the clash with the Tigers.

But the Carlton midfield will have its fair share of experience, with Walsh joining familiar faces in Patrick Cripps, Adam Cerra and George Hewett in the on-ball brigade.

Evans, Haynes and Lord join Sam Docherty and Jesse Motlop on the initial interchange, with the Blues to name their sub an hour before the bounce.
