Blues players are determined to let their actions do the talking this weekend, after the disappointing loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Players have met behind closed doors this week to dissect the game.

Coach Mick Malthouse has told CFC TV, while there’s much to work on, he’s hopeful the team will respond against the Tigers.

"The harsh truth is that we have to pick up in a lot of areas," Malthouse said. "One of them is the ability to fight games right out and fight seasons right out."

Saturday’s clash with Richmond at the MCG marks a milestone for Irishman Zach Tuohy.

Tuohy will play his 50th AFL game, becoming just the second Carlton player to reach the milestone in the number 42 jumper.

On the injury front, Andrew Carrazzo, Chris Judd and Matthew Watson have all been ruled out for the season.

But in better news for Watson – he has just re–signed with Carlton until the end of 2015.
