THE CARLTON Reserves will call on the services of eight additional AFL-listed players for Saturday night’s clash with Southport.

To be broadcast on Channel 7, the Blues had already confirmed the return of Elijah Hollands via the VFL Blues earlier this week, while Harry McKay will also play against Southport after featuring in the VFL intra-club last weekend.

Corey Durdin and Hudson O’Keeffe will both play their first games of the season after recovering bring from their respective injuries sustained last month, while Rob Monahan will also return from the groin injury which curtailed his summer.

There are also VFL debuts for Matthew Carroll, Lucas Camporeale and Harry O’Farrell, with Lucas to play alongside brother Ben in the Navy Blue for the first time.

Jordan Boyd and Francis Evans will both feature after playing at AFL level last weekend, although aren’t treated as inclusions given they featured in the VFL Blues’ narrow loss in the season opener prior to the Round 2 bye.

Will White and Ashton Moir come out of that team due to AFL selection, while Logan Prout will miss the season following the unfortunate ACL injury against Box Hill. Liam McMahon - who has been named in the VFL state team alongside Ethan Phillips - has been managed.

In McMahon’s absence, fellow co-captain Heath Ramshaw will lead the team for the clash with one of the VFL’s most consistent sides in recent seasons.

The others making their way out of the line-up are Patrick Dozzi, Kristian Ferronato, Will Hayes and Flynn Riley, who have been omitted.

The Round 3 game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 on Saturday night from 7:10pm: please note, the timing of the original fixture has changed due to broadcast commitments.
