A week and a bit after having his appendix removed, Carlton ruckman/forward Shaun Hampson is a likely starter for Saturday night’s match against Geelong at Etihad Stadium.
Carlton General Manager – Football Operations Andrew McKay told CFC TV that Hampson was “certainly up for selection this week”.
“. . . He (Hampson) had his appendix removed ten days ago and certainly he’s pulled up well from that and likely to return this week,” McKay said.
McKay also indicated that Eddie Betts is probably a fortnight from resuming, and provided progress reports on the recoveries of Jarrad Waite, Andrew Collins, David Ellard and Pat McCarthy.
