This Sunday sees one of the Club’s biggest social events of the year, when the Carlton Carnival hits Visy Park.
Formerly known as the Carlton Family, the Carlton Carnival – presented by Hyundai – festivities will be kicking off at 11am (10am for VIP entry) that includes great opportunities to meet, greet and get autographs from all your favourite players. There’s also the chance to be involved in plenty of activities as well as hang out with Captain Carlton.
Carlton utility Dennis Armfield said that, for the players, it’s a great opportunity to mingle with the fans before the campaign officially kicks off against Sydney and GWS at Black on February 24.
“It’s a great day getting to meet all the fans and seeing all of the Carlton faithful get down to Visy Park,” Armfield said. “I guess it also signifies that the season is about to get underway; pre-season’s coming to an end and we’re getting stuck in the business part of playing games.
“Really hoping that lots of Carlton fans can get down and show their support.”
The main event of the day will be the jumper presentation to all the players on the main stage, coordinated by SEN and Before The Game’s Andy Maher. This will follow a message from Carlton President Stephen Kernahan as well as new coach, Mick Malthouse’s first public address to the Carlton fans.
As well as the presentations, acitivities and interactions with the players, all the latest merchandise – including the new 2013 clash strip - will be available for purchase and our friendly membership staff will be more than happy to help you with any membership enquiries.
Entry fees are $20 for families, as well as $10 for adults and kids getting in for $5. Members’ entry is free. Tickets for the carnival can be purchased from carltonfc.com.au
As we are anticipating a massive turnout, we strongly encourage all supporters to take public transport, as limited parking will be available.
