Carlton players have had a spring in their step this week, keeping their season alive with a gritty 10-point win over Richmond.

But like the old cliché, it is one week at a time, and the Blues will face another tough test against arch enemy Essendon this weekend.

Matthew Kreuzer and Jeff Garlett could return from injury for the match – both will be tested at training this week.

Meanwhile, defender Josh Bootsma has committed to Carlton, signing on for another two years.

The 20-year-old has played 14 AFL games, since making his debut in round 6 last year.

And time is running out to Bid 4 Juddy’s Car.

Carlton, in conjunction with joint major sponsor Hyundai, is auctioning Chris Judd’s Hyundai i40, with proceeds going to the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation.

The auction ends this Saturday at quarter time, during Carlton’s clash with Essendon.
