Carlton tasted finals success in Season 2013, with a thrilling win over Richmond at the MCG.

But the Blues’ season came to an end, against Sydney in the Semi-Finals at ANZ Stadium. 

With the team now on a break, we’re taking a look back at each player’s year in statistics, next is Carlton’s No.14, Brock McLean.

OVERVIEW

Brock McLean continued to defy the critics with another strong season in 2013. The 27-year old had his most prolific season yet in terms of disposals (464) and also became more damaging on the scoreboard with a career-high 15 goals.  

McLean recorded his second successive top-10 finish in the John Nicholls Medal this season, finishing equal eighth with Chris Judd.  

The Blues are hopeful the hard nut will continue his resurgence as an established AFL midfielder in 2014.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT

Despite going down to eventual premier Hawthorn by 15-points in Round 12, McLean still had a huge night on the stats sheet with a season high 34 disposals. He was also influential in the Blues’ thrilling win over Richmond in Round 21, kicking a career best three goals from his 27 possessions.
