The rumour mill went into overdrive yesterday, and it goes to show you can’t believe everything you read.
There was speculation on radio and across social media that Andrew Walker could be on the move, after a falling out with coach Mick Malthouse.
Here was our response:
Walker ain't walking. Yes, we've heard the rumours as well... #slownewsday

Walker was also somewhat amused at being the centre of attention:
My short term memory has never been a strength of mine, can't believe I dont remember having a falling out with mick!! #greatjournalism #

Oh, and Mick also had a chuckle.
Nonetheless Carlton has been active so far this trade period.
We’ve secured Dale Thomas and traded Shaun Hampson to Richmond in exchange for a second round draft pick.
Our so-called “aggressive approach” has caught the eye of a number of journalists, the Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph writing today:
“To paraphrase those in the cheap seats, is there anyone the Blues aren’t into?
Yet if there is no doubt Carlton’s list is growing increasingly old, surely we should applaud their bravery at the same time as we assess the risks.
Better to be an active player who doesn’t rule anything out than doing nothing, which is precisely what happened at Carlton last year.”
Players linked to Carlton so far include:
Heath Shaw, Alan Didak, Shane Savage (now a Saint) ,Taylor Adams, Paul Chapman (Essendon in the box seat), James Podsiadly, Sam Docherty, Brent Staker, Jesse White, Sam Reid Daniel Cross and Viv Michie.
We’ve probably left some out – who can keep up?
What we can tell you is Carlton’s not done at the trading table just yet.
To recap:
