Chris Yarran has forced his way back into the Carlton senior team, in one of two major inclusions for Friday night’s match with Sydney at the SCG.

Yarran and fellow West Australian Simon White have won call-ups at the expense of the captain Marc Murphy, who suffered a fractured cheekbone in a collision with Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge, and the omitted Sam Rowe.

Having lost his place for disciplinary reasons following the Round 11 match against Essendon in which he was named as a substitute, Yarran quickly regrouped for the Northern Blues’ match against Frankston the following weekend.

He has been named on a wing for Carlton in the Swans match, with White a part of the four-man interchange, and Tom Bell, Marcus Davies and Matthew Watson the emergencies.

Meanwhile Andrew Carrazzo, who has not played since sustaining a calf injury in the Round 5 match with Adelaide at the MCG, resumes after eight weeks with the Northern Blues in Sunday’s match against Casey at Casey Fields.
