In recognising round 14 as being Women's Round, CFC caught up with Carlton staff member, Steph Kanaris, to see what's life like working for the Blues.

As Carlton's full time myotherapist, Kanaris' day-to-day revolves around treating the players and supporting her team.

"I'm in charge of soft tissue treatment, soft tissue disfunction and making sure that all the boys muscles are functioning correctly."

During match days, kanaris' role varies from pre and post-game treatment to running fluids to the players on-ground during the match.

Reflecting on her very first game, Kanaris beams with excitement at the exhilaration that she remembers feeling.

"First time running on the ground I was so excited! The crowd was amazing!"

It still never ceases to amaze Kanaris on the amount of effort and team work that goes into each game.

"I think at times it's presumed that the boys simply turn up, put their uniform on and run onto the ground. There's just so much more involved."

Whilst Kanaris says that she has experienced many a career highlight working for the Blues, nothing compares to the finals.

"Whilst we didn't win this game, It was fantastic to witness first-hand how exciting finals are. The crowd takes it to another level. It's something very special.

Having also worked in private practice, Kanaris maintains from both a personal and professional level, Carlton's the place to be.

"I am very lucky to be where I am. So far it has been an awesome experience."
