SENIOR Coach David Teague has confirmed that two recruits will make their Navy Blue debuts tomorrow night.
Having arrived from Gold Coast and St Kilda respectively, Teague - speaking to media via a webinar - said Jack Martin and Jack Newnes would feature for Carlton against Richmond.
Should the game go ahead, Teague said the recruits - alongside Sam Petrevski-Seton - were confirmed to play.
“Jack Martin and Jack Newnes will debut for the Carlton Football Club. That’s really exciting,” Teague said.
“Samo played [VFL] last week for a half and he’ll be selected later today.
“We’re really confident that the group running out there are ready to go. We’re very happy with our preparation and now it’s about going out there and performing against quality opposition.”
Teague said the excitement was evident among the playing group, and the message from them was simple.
“If the experts deem that it’s a safe place to go out there, I know our players want to go out there,” he said.
“I know they want to go out there and entertain the fans.
