Carlton Coach Brett Ratten said he expected the two late withdrawals from the round 24 match to be available for the Elimination Final this Sunday.

“Michael Jamison reported some soreness in his knee on Saturday morning and we decided not to take any risk at all with him. We expect he will be fine for the final on Sunday,” Ratten said after the game on Saturday night.

Andrew Carrazzo, another late withdrawal from Saturday night’s match against St Kilda is also expected to play this week.

“Carrazzo was involved in a car accident on Friday and was a little shaken up so again it was a no risk decision to ensure he is ready for the final,” Ratten added.

The third player expected to be fit for a return is Bret Thornton who was ruled out of the round 24 clash late in the week with general soreness. Ratten confirmed Thornton was also expected to be available for the Elimination Final against Essendon at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.

In further good news Matthew Kreuzer is expected to be available after leaving the ground in the second quarter on Saturday night with a foot injury. Positive results from tests conducted on Kreuzer’s leg in hospital on Saturday night and Sunday morning have cleared the way for him to train with the team this week and he is expected to be available for Sunday’s Elimination Final.
