Carlton Football Club is pleased to announce the re-signing of two of its young, exciting talents as the team prepares for its 2017 campaign.
Defender Dylan Buckley and midfielder Nick Graham have both agreed to new one-year deals, which will see them remain in the navy blue until at least the end of 2017.
Carlton’s Head of Football Andrew McKay said he had been impressed with the pair’s determination to step up and play their role for the team when required.
“Both Dylan and Nick have a strong work ethic and a continual desire to improve their game, which they’ve displayed since arriving at the Club,” McKay said.
“They’re team players who are well respected around the Club, and every time they run out in the navy blue jumper you know they’re going to give their all.
“We’re delighted they have re-signed and want to remain at the Blues as the Club continues its journey in 2017.”
The son of triple Carlton premiership player and Hall of Fame member Jim, Buckley was recruited to the Blues as a father-son selection in the 2011 national draft.
The 23-year-old recorded 11 senior appearances this season and played a pivotal part in the Blues’ Round 22 win against Melbourne, kicking three goals as a running defender.
Meanwhile, Graham was selected by the Blues with pick 54 in the 2012 national draft. He has played 28 senior games since making his debut in Round 21, 2013 v Richmond.
Buckley and Graham join Kade Simpson, Jacob Weitering, Jack Silvagni, Matthew Wright, Levi Casboult and Dennis Armfield as the latest players to re-sign with the Club.
