Blues fans in Bendigo were treated to a Friday night delight when the Carlton women's team took to the track for an open training session.
Led by coach Damien Keeping on the field, Bendigo based players Hayley Trevean, Sarah Last, Bella Ayre and Jess Kennedy were the hometown heroes of the night.
With a strong crowd watching on as the sun set across Tom Flood Oval in Bendigo, the girls ran through technique, skills and drills before meeting fans on the sidelines after training.
The training session coincided with the AFL's launch of the inaugural AFL Women's fixture for 2017, which will feature arch rivals Carlton and Collingwood to launch the competition in a blockbuster Friday night clash on February 3 at Olympic Park Oval.
