The night was a great success with over 500 fans marching from Federation Square to the MCG in tandem with club greats Anthony Koutoufides, Geoff Southby and up and coming stars Luke Mitchell and Andrew McInnes.
Supporters walked and chanted for the Blues throughout the “March” covering the Birrarung Marr area in a sea of Navy Blue on their way to Gate 3.
The “March to the MCG” culminated with Anthony Koutoufides taking to the ground along with Matthew Richardson of Richmond to present the official match ball to the umpires to signify the start of the season for both clubs.
This event will become an annual feature before our Round 1 fixture so we look forward to a bigger and better turnout for our home game next season.
