Five changes for Freo
Carlton confronts Fremantle at Patersons Stadium tomorrow night having made five changes - three of them enforced.
Andrew Carrazzo and Jeremy Laidler are both sidelined for the medium-term with respective shoulder and knee injuries, while Chris Yarran has been ruled out with a toe complaint.
Paul Bower and Brock McLean have both been omitted.
Into the team comes Andrew Walker for his first game of the season after overcoming a quadriceps injury, as well as Dennis Armfield, who missed just the one match with a knee complaint.
Walker has been named on a half-forward flank and Armfield in a back pocket in the starting 18.
Bret Thornton, who has earned a recall, has been named in the other back pocket, with the promoted Jordan Russell and Aaron Joseph both named on interchange.
Walker and Joseph will play their first game of the 2012 season, returning to Petersons Stadium where they played their last AFL match, against West Coast in the 2011 semi-final.
Thornton and Russell played in Carlton’s two opening games of the season and have played with the Northern Blues in the last two weeks.
