But devotees of “The Don” can rest easy. The 99.99 in question relates to Kade Simpson’s career goalkicking return, as a consequence of his three behinds against Essendon at the MCG last Saturday afternoon.
According to Carlton’s methodical historian Stephen Williamson, “Simmo” has hit 99.99 after 161 senior appearances for the Blues - the last 148 of them in succession since the 15th round of 2005.
