THE Blues have kicked off their second day of pre-season camp on the Sunshine Coast, with a solid training session at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex.
Following a day of team activity and a beach session at Mooloolaba foreshore yesterday, the players continued their pre-season assault on 2018 under strong heat conditions on the Sunshine Coast.
“Today was pretty tough – we worked really hard on our game plan. We tried to add a few things in, and in respect to the cardio and fitness side of things, they never get easier the more they go on. The boys are in really good condition – they came back really well over the break," captain Marc Murphy said.
“It’s been a really solid four or five weeks and the camp is a good chance to get up here and enjoy the last week of a really hard training block before 'Chrissy'."
Heading into his 13th season, Murphy said it was great to see the younger recruits involved out on the track, as they settle into life as elite athletes.

“The new players are going well, they’re all really eager to learn. They’re really confident and looking forward to the challenge and they’re just a good group of young kids.
“We’ve had some really good strong drafts over the last few years, and as an older guy, I’m looking forward to teaching these young guys and watching them grow.”
