ANOTHER year, another accolade.
For the first time in her career, Mimi Hill has been selected in the AFL Players’ 22under22 team.
Having been nominated for the squad in season six, season seven, 2023 and now this year, Hill - who was named on the interchange - has received the much-deserved nod following another season where she was among Carlton’s best.
Moving to the half-back line after she made herself at home in the midfield, Hill added another string to her bow by averaging 23 disposals and just shy of six intercepts a game in her new role.
Missing just the final game of the season, Hill was once again at her consistent best, not dropping below 17 disposals while having a season-high tally of 32 against Geelong which also yielded a goal.
The co-vice captain’s 22under22 honour now sits alongside her AFLW Rising Star win in season six, as well as her Carlton AFLW Best and Fairest triumph in season seven.
Hill becomes the 17th player to feature in 22under22 sides while representing the Blues, with the Club continuing its record of having representation in every single AFLW 22under22 team since its inception.
