CARLTON midfielder George Hewett has been charged with striking by the Match Review Officer.
The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Blues’ one-point win over Brisbane on Friday night.
The MRO has graded the incident as careless, high contact and low impact, resulting in a $2,500 fine being offered with an early guilty plea.
Hewett will be available to play in Thursday night’s Round 1 blockbuster against Richmond.
