THE Blues are officially beach-bound, arriving on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday afternoon for their annual pre-season training camp.
The playing group, coaches and support staff headed north for the sun and will undertake intense training sessions in the sweltering Queensland sun, along with team-bonding activities and beach recovery sessions.
Heading further north than the previous two years based on the Gold Coast for the pre-season camps, Head of Football Andrew McKay said the Blues would benefit from the time exposed to the hot conditions.
"We are really looking forward to arriving on the Sunshine Coast for our first pre-season training camp in the region,” McKay said.
“In ideal weather conditions, it will be a week of hard work on the training track for our players and connecting with our supporter base in Queensland.”
Queensland-based Blues supporters are strongly encouraged to head to the Club’s final open training session for 2017 at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex on Sunday 17 December.
The playing group will be available for autographs and photo opportunities following the training session, with giveaways and merchandise van also available.
