AFTER another best-on-ground performance, Keeley Sherar has polled 10 AFLCA votes for Round 6.
The crafty midfielder picked up a career-high 27 disposals, along with eight tackles and five inside 50s, impacting both the forward line and the centre.
Fellow midfielder Abbie McKay earned five votes for her 25 disposals, four score involvements and four inside 50s, topped off with a running goal in the first quarter.
Ruck Jess Good put together another comprehensive performance, where she delivered 17 hitouts, allowing her midfielders the best opportunity to break out of the centre.
Good also managed 14 contested possessions, six intercept possessions, five clearances and a goal in a comprehensive showing at Whitten Oval.
Youngster Keeley Shepper broke the record for Carlton’s most metres gained (583) in the game, earning her four coaches' votes in the process.
Skepper also impacted physically, laying five tackles and gathering nine intercept possessions.
Rounding out the votes was veteran Blue Gab Pound, who received two votes on Friday night.
Pound’s performance was her best for the year, as she led the defensive group in the absence of captain Kerryn Peterson.
Delivering 22 disposals, Pound’s impact was in her nine intercept possessions and four tackles in a backline that kept the Bulldogs to two goals at three-quarter time.
