2013 starts today for the Blues
Carlton's 2013 season has officially commenced with the launch of our new membership campaign.
After breaking through the all-time membership record in 2012, Carlton launched the new campaign with the clear aim of securing 50,000 members next season.
Carlton CEO Greg Swann said the Club launched membership early to help reach the 50,000 goal in 2013 and ensure memberships are ready for delivery before Christmas.
“Today’s launch is six weeks ahead of previous years and this not only signifies the start of 2013 for Carlton, it will enable the Club to deliver membership packs in time for Christmas - something we have been unable to do in the past,” he said.
“This year we set a membership record of 45,800, however this is below what we believe is achievable and we need to ensure we grow this. We have no doubt that with the support of our loyal fans a target of 50,000 members will be achieved.”
In addition to launching membership early, following feedback from members, the Club has renamed the top level membership room for the new season.
Formally known as The Captains Club, in 2013 it will now be known as The Social Club.
“Historically The Social Club has been the meeting place for Carlton members and our members indicated their preference for this name. The change not only restores tradition but importantly is what are members have asked for,” he said.
The highly successful I AM CARLTON campaign has been relaunched as part of the membership campaign and features on Carlton’s website and social media platforms.
“The I AM CARLTON campaign this year was incredibly popular amongst the Carlton faithful, and we are hopeful that this supporter targeted campaign will become part of the Carlton culture and encourage all of our fans to sign up as members for season 2013,” Swann said.
“We have a series of exciting campaign videos featuring various players, past and present, that will be rolled out over the next five weeks as part of our ongoing drive for 50,000.
“I AM ONE OF 50,000 is our mantra for 2013.”
Membership Services opened at 9am today for 2013 reserved seat sales, enquiries and general membership information.
A new-look membership website iamcarlton.com.au, with improved integration with Ticketmaster will deliver an easy online solution to renew membership or join the Club.
