THE Guernsey Club Past Player Sponsorship is well-and-truly thriving after launching earlier this year.

In a special evening, past players and their sponsors came together to enjoy a delicious meal at Cecconi’s and relive many of the countless memories from the glory days.

"It's the sponsors who keep this game going": Hanna on Past-Player Sponsorship

1995 premiership player Mil Hanna spoke to Carlton Media about the importance of the Past-Player Sponsorship initiative.

Joining the celebrations were the likes of Greg Williams, Wayne Johnston and David Rhys-Jones, who presented their sponsors with a personally signed woollen guernsey to thank them for their involvement in the program.

The Past Player Sponsorship Program, which was launched earlier this year through the ‘Spirit of Carlton’, allows a select group of fans to contribute to a pool of funds to support past champions in their lives post-football.

Aside from supporting the past-players, those who sign up as part of the program gain access to several benefits including tickets to the Spirit of Carlton major event, an exclusive dinner with your past player and other Guernsey Club members and the chance to form a unique connection with a former great of the Club.
