THE CARLTON Reserves have locked in their Round 4 VFL team to take on North Melbourne.
In the second chapter of a Good Friday triple-header between the Blues and Roos, Carlton is looking for its first VFL win of the season and can now settle into a weekly rhythm after a stop-start beginning to the season.
The VFL Blues will be able to call on the services of Marc Pittonet, with the experienced ruckman to play his first game of the season proper after recovering from a calf injury in February.
He’s one of six changes to the Carlton line-up which took on Southport a fortnight ago, with Ashton Moir to provide some excitement in the attacking half after missing the last VFL game due to his selection as sub in the AFL side.
Co-captain Liam McMahon also returns on the back of his appearance for the victorious state side last weekend in Adelaide, while there’s a Carlton Reserves debut for Denver Grainger-Barras after signing with the Blues on the eve of the VFL campaign.
Youngster Ollie Poole is also named, while veteran Will Hayes will provide some customary experience and run off half-back.
After being named in the VFL side on Thursday, Sam Docherty (AFL emergency) will not feature at Arden Street.
Dane Harvey and Ollie Badr have both been omitted, with Matthew Carroll, Corey Durdin, Elijah Hollands and Harry McKay the others who featured for the VFL Blues a fortnight ago.
The VFL Round 4 clash kicks off from 12:05pm at Arden Street.
