THE HOLLANDS boys were reunited in Navy Blue once more on Good Friday, and both Elijah and Ollie lapped it up.

For the second straight season, Elijah played his first game of the season for the Blues in the SuperClash, linking up with Ollie who has been an ever-present for the Blues across half-back this season.

In what was a true team performance from the Blues, Elijah eased his way back into proceedings and was subbed out tactically in the final term, while Ollie provided his customary run-and-carry.

Speaking to Carlton Media post-match, the Blues brothers spoke of their enjoyment at being back out there together once more, with Elijah crediting the support of the whole club during his time away due to personal reasons.

“[It was] fantastic. The support I’ve received over the last few weeks from the Club, supporters, family and friends have been immense - it’s something I’m very grateful for,” Elijah said.

“It’s funny, it was the Good Friday game again and it was great to come in for such a complete team performance. I’m over the moon… I’m in a really great space, which has been aided by family and friends and the Club.”

Ollie added: “It was great. I was pretty excited when I found out he was back in the team - this is what you play footy for.”

“To be able to run out there with him is pretty special, and to come away with the four points is an even better way to do it.”

The Good Friday SuperClash has been a much-loved, much-welcomed addition to the Carlton calendar in recent years, with everyone doing their bit.

As part of the player-led Good Friday Appeal auction, the golf-loving brothers have offered up a unique experience which they’re hoping raises as much money as possible.

“Both Elijah and I have put forward an opportunity to play a round of golf with the both of us, fully funded down at Heritage where we’re both members. It’s a great golf course and a nice opportunity to be able to come down and enjoy a round of golf with the both of us. It’s something we both love doing,” Ollie said.

“It is for such a great cause, we’re privileged to play in the Good Friday game. You see with the reactions from the hospital throughout the week, it’s such an awesome week and we’re very grateful to be part of it,” Elijah added.

“Please donate, whether that’s to us or to any of the things that the boys have put up and the Club has put forward. Every dollar helps.”
