THE Blues helped spread the festive cheer on the Sunshine Coast for their third day of the pre-season training camp in front a big crowd at Sunday’s open training session.
In another morning under the sweltering sunny conditions, the playing group grinded it out on the training track with hundreds of Queensland-based Blues supporters watching on.
Just days out from Christmas, senior coach Brendon Bolton and skipper Marc Murphy led the festive charge post-training, rounding up the playing group to distribute a variety of presents and gifts to the Carlton fan base at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex.
In one of the Blues' final training sessions for the year, forward Matthew Wright said it was a chance to thank Blues fans for their support throughout the 2017 campaign.

“It’s always nice to be able to give back to the supporters and handing out the presents today was just something small we could do to spread the Christmas feeling,” Wright said.
“Training camps are always a good way to connect with our interstate supporters.
“We had a big turnout, the sun was shining and they were still cheering us on right throughout the training session, so we couldn’t be more grateful. We know members are the lifeblood of every club.”
The Blues will continue their pre-season campaign on the Sunshine Coast until Thursday, before the playing group split for the Christmas break.
