MARC Pittonet will play his first senior game since Round 6 after being recalled to the AFL line-up for the trip to Adelaide Oval.
Matthew Owies will also play his first game in over month after recovering from a calf injury which has kept him on the sidelines since Round 14.
Coming out of the side are Josh Honey (managed) and Jack Silvagni, who has been omitted.
After playing the last two VFL games on the back of knee surgery, Pittonet returns to partner Tom De Koning in the ruck for the clash with the Crows.
The pairing were Carlton’s starting ruck duo at the beginning of the season, with De Koning taking on sole duties during Pittonet’s time on the sidelines. It looms likely that they will also provide aerial support in attack alongside Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay, who combined for nine goals the last time these two sides met back in Round 8.
Patrick Cripps was the best player on the ground in that encounter, with the Blues once again to turn to their midfield group to set the tone in the middle of the ground at the feet of the ruck combination.
Honey and Silvagni have both been named as emergencies alongside Paddy Dow and Jack Newnes: one will be named as medical sub an hour before Saturday night’s bounce.
The game begins at 7pm local time (7:30pm AEST).
