THE CARLTON Football Club has broken its membership record for the seventh year in a row, reaching 81,303 members to date in 2022.
The significant milestone comes as part of an incredible trend that has seen the Club’s membership base grow by 31 per cent (25, 298 members) since 2018.
This enormous show of faith has translated to match-day attendance with the Club’s home crowd number among the strongest in the AFL this season, with an average attendance of 47,487 per game.
The electric atmosphere generated by the Navy Blue faithful is also set to greet the big stage with the Blues allocated several prime-time fixtures over the coming month.
With a goal of 85,000 members, the Club is well on the way to achieving this by the end of the season.
Carlton CEO Brian Cook spoke directly to the Club’s members as the Blues celebrate another record-breaking occasion.
“Thank you for your ongoing support and being part of this significant milestone,” Cook said.
“Our supporters can always be counted on to bring the noise and we play for you, our members, all 81,303 of you. Whether this is your first year as a member, fifth year or fiftieth year, thank you for your support.
“We can always count on the fans in Navy Blue to show up and get along to games whenever possible. Thank you for being a part of another record-breaking year for this great Club.”
