Dennis Armfield says his "classy" moustache is here to stay – well, for the rest of the season at least.
Speaking to Triple M's Rush Hour on Wednesday, the Carlton midfielder revealed he likes to keep a "mo" for the home and away season.
"Pre-season it usually goes, it's more of a footy thing," Armfield said through a cheeky grin. "It's probably more to get on the boys nerves than anything else."
The 26-year-old has praised the work of teammates Andrew Walker and Brock McLean, who had standout performances in the weekend win over GWS.
"He (Walker) has gone back and done the job very well. He can still can pop up forward, but his run is phenomenal".
"Brock is probably one of the hardest working players at the club, especially running wise. He out-sprints the fast blokes."
Carlton this week returns to the MCG, for a big test against Essendon on Friday night.
Armfield says the Blues feel like they've mastered the game plan under coach Mick Malthouse. But he says they have work to do to eliminate concentration lapses.
"We have five to six minute lapses when teams are getting away from us, or catching up. If we can get rid of those we will be very competitive against the higher rated sides, that's for sure."
