CARLTON has named its squad to travel to Canberra to take on GWS in its final dress rehearsal for the season proper.

After rotating 30 names through in the opening match simulation against St Kilda, the Blues have named the 26 players who will look to get minutes against the Giants at Manuka Oval in their AAMI Community Series clash.

As announced on Wednesday evening, Jack Silvagni will play his first game of any kind since Round 19, 2023, with the forward-turned-defender on the comeback trail from the ACL injury which wiped out his 2024 campaign.

There’s also a first Carlton outing for supplemental selection period signing Francis Evans, who impressed for the VFL Blues last weekend, with Brodie Kemp and Elijah Hollands also named.

Following an impressive cameo late against St Kilda, Lucas Camporeale has been named on the wing, while fellow uncapped Blue Matt Carroll is also named on the bench as a potential defensive option for the Blues.

Nick Haynes and Zac Williams both take on their former side, in what will be the Blues’ final game 13 days before opening their campaign against Richmond at the MCG in Round 1.

The game will take place over four 20-minute quarters including time on, with clubs able to use their extended eight-man interchanges at their own discretion.
