Carlton captain Chris Judd and uncompromising defender Nick Duigan are the two big inclusions for Saturday’s cut-throat match with Essendon at the MCG.

Judd, having now served a four-match suspension arising from an incident in the Round 16 match against North Melbourne, is according to Senior Coach Brett Ratten, ready to “make a splash”.

Duigan, who last played in the 18th round against Richmond, returns after regaining form at VFL level.

Matthew Watson and Rhys O’Keeffe are the two senior players making way for the pair.

The Blues and Bombers will be battling it out for a potential finals place and for the Madden Cup. The Cup honours the outstanding careers of the Madden brothers, Justin and Simon, who between them played 710 AFL games, won four premierships and six Best & Fairest Awards.
