THERE WILL be two new faces at IKON Park from this morning.

Youngsters Josh Cripps and Tyreece Leiu have been invited to train with Carlton, starting from today.

With the Blues currently having one list vacancy, the team is able to have additional train-on players as potential supplemental selection period signings.

Of course, Carlton is no stranger to this, having welcomed four Blues since the rule’s inception three years ago.

A left-footed tall forward, Cripps stands at 199 centimetres and is the younger brother of Carlton co-captain, Patrick.

Also able to pinch hit in the ruck, Cripps showcased his aerial prowess with East Fremantle’s WAFL Colts side, particularly in the second half of the season.

A teammate of new Blue Jesse Motlop with Aquinas College, Cripps averaged over 22 disposals and three goals a game in a purple patch during the home and away season’s final month.

He’ll be joined by Leiu, the Rowville product who played his NAB League football with the Eastern Ranges.

A unique prospect, Leiu - who stands at 194 centimetres - spent a large portion of the season impressing as a tall intercept defender.

However, he also showed he was able to utilise his clean hands and power to good effect as a big-bodied inside midfielder.

The duo will take part in their first Carlton training session today.
