OVERVIEW

It was a fairytale for Maddy Guerin in her first season in Navy Blue, with the youngster returning from ACL injury just in time to make her debut in Round 1.

Arriving at IKON Park in the off-season in a trade that saw both Guerin and fellow former-Demon Elise O'Dea depart Melbourne, Guerin wasted no time in making an impact around the Club with her dedication to an AFLW return.

A standout in the Blues' practice match against the Saints in January, Guerin got the call up to face the Pies in Round 1 and went on to play six games in her fourth year at the senior level.

Continuing for the VFLW Blues at the conclusion of the 2021 AFLW season, Guerin has proven a dangerous addition for the half-back line as well as a recent asset through the midfield.

BEST PERFORMANCE:

Working her way into a rhythm in the Blues' backline, Guerin really hit her stride in Carlton's Round 4 win over Richmond at IKON Park.

Creating opportunities out of the backline, Guerin gathered 13 disposals and marked strongly when required to finish with six for the afternoon.

Her work in Carlton's closest line group - as it's been dubbed by co-captain Kerryn Harrington - was standout in the come-from-behind victory.
