THREE Blues have polled in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award for their individual performances in Round 8.
Jacob Weitering was adjudged the best of the Blues, with the key defender producing a fine showing in defence against Aaron Naughton.
Receiving four votes for his valiant effort, Weitering finished with 23 disposals along with 13 marks (seven contested, six intercepts) as he continued his brilliant run of form to start the 2021 season.
At the other end of the ground, Betts wasn't too far behind in the votes, polling three from the coaches for his five-goal performance in attack.
Producing a handful of goals in Navy Blue for the first time since 2012, Betts had a hand in eight score involvements while going at 100 per efficiency in a vintage performance from the veteran.
Sam Docherty rounded out the votes with a singular vote, topping the disposals for the Blues with 31.
With his 850 metres gained the second-most of anyone in the competition on the weekend, Docherty also recorded 10 rebound 50s and six intercepts with his leadership half back evident throughout the course of the day.
