The Carlton Football Club has announced two new signings to complete its Reserves squad for the new-look 2021 VFL season.
Both Zavier Maher and Alex Mirkov have committed to the Blues, finalising the 26-player VFL squad.
Maher spent much of the summer training with the Club’s AFL squad as a train-on player and will also be aligned with the Murray Bushrangers in the NAB League during 2021.
The 19-year-old inside midfielder has elite speed, finishing in the top five of the 20-metre sprint test at the Victorian Draft combine.
Mirkov is a 21-year-old ruckman who stands at 210cm.

Get the latest on his development from Daniel O'Keefe in the newest edition of Carlton Coaches' Corner, presented by Ontime.
A former volleyballer at AGSV level for Ivanhoe Grammar, he has played two seasons of football for Old Ivanhoe in the VAFA.
Carlton Reserves coach Daniel O’Keefe said the two would add their own strengths to the now finalised squad.
“Zavier and Alex are both players who have great potential and we are excited to see them develop within our Reserves program,” O’Keefe said.
“A lot of work has been done behind the scenes to identify and bring in talent and we are really excited to see the players we have brought in have an impact at our football club.
“We believe we’ve assembled a very strong and balanced squad and cannot wait to kick off the season on Saturday.”
The Carlton Reserves begin their VFL season campaign this Saturday against Southport at IKON Park.
