CARLTON has made two changes to its team to take on the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.
On the hunt for their first win of the season, the Blues have rewarded the form shown in last week’s VFL season opener for the Carlton Reserves.
Jordan Boyd has been named for his first senior game since August of last year, with the defender included among the VFL Blues’ best for his 23-disposal performance.
Watch highlights of Boyd’s performance last week below.
There’s also a recall for Francis Evans, with the forward in for his second Carlton game after making his Navy Blue debut in Round 1.
Evans was the VFL Blues’ No.1 ranked pressure player last week, while also contributing 16 disposals in the narrow four-point defeat.
Making way out of the side are Lucas Camporeale and Cooper Lord (both omitted).
Boyd, Evans, Nick Haynes, Sam Walsh and Zac Williams have been named on the bench, with the Blues to announce their sub an hour before the bounce. Camporeale, Ashton Moir and Will White have been named the emergencies.
Lachie Fogarty has been named for his 50th Carlton game after his arrival at the Club in 2021, marking a journey of determination for the former Cat.
With the likes of Sam Docherty, Brodie Kemp and Jack Silvagni all named, AFL Senior Coach Michael Voss flagged that there could be some positional versatility to watch out for when the Blues run out on Friday night.
In good news, five Blues who were listed as tests this week - Matthew Carroll, Corey Durdin, Rob Monahan, Harry O’Farrell and Hudson O’Keeffe - all completed training this week and have returned to full fitness.
