WITH the final act of the first half, the call from Anthony Hudson came on FOX Footy.

“That is the perfect example of what Carlton has brought today. They’ve done everything asked of them by coach David Teague!”

The act in question was a rundown tackle by Carlton recruit, Lachie Fogarty.

In the third of three impressive performances under his belt in life as a Blue, Fogarty was once again one of Carlton's key contributors in yesterday's win against Fremantle.

Amassing 25 disposals, seven tackles and a first-quarter goal, the former Cat backed up his performances against Richmond and Collingwood on the way to his first win in his new colours.

Playing his role as a high half-forward who's just as important with the ball as he is without it, Fogarty spoke glowingly of his time at IKON Park when interviewed on SEN on Tuesday.

"I'm loving every minute of it," Fogarty said.

"As that high half-forward, I need to be putting pressure on and trying to get forward-half turnovers. Also, when the ball is in my hands, I’ve just got to make something happen.

"[The forward mix] is certainly still developing but it’s such a great group. We’re all having a lot of fun at the moment and we love playing together."

Fogarty has featured in the first three games after bursting onto the scene with Geelong in year one, before injuries restricted him to just eight games in the past two years.

Now fighting fit and reaping the rewards of a full pre-season, Fogarty is enjoying the continuity of senior football once again, collecting 20 or more disposals in each of his three matches so far.

Having made the difficult decision to make the trip down the highway, Fogarty is hopeful his early-season form is just a sign of bigger and better things to come in the navy Blue.

"It was a really hard decision for me, I loved Geelong. At the end of the day, I needed a fresh start and when Carlton came calling, I knew it was a good opportunity for me," Fogarty said.

"The last couple of seasons I’ve been injured, but I managed to get through this pre-season with Carlton and I’m feeling the fittest and strongest I’ve felt in a while.

"I’m definitely feeling more and more confident in myself with my role within the team... I'm definitely seeing the rewards on the field."
