CARLTON will blood its fifth club debutant in three games this Sunday.
Confirmed by Senior Coach David Teague on Thursday, rookie Luke Parks will become Blue No.1222 when he runs out against Fremantle.
An intercept defender who plays above his height, Parks gets his opportunity this weekend after some stellar form in VFL practice matches.
Originally from New South Wales, Parks was drafted from Glenelg in the 2021 NAB AFL Rookie Draft last year.
After going undrafted at his first opportunity, Parks relocated to South Australia and played every game for the reigning premiers as an 18-year-old.
Teague said Parks, who turns 20 in a fortnight, would be backed in to play to his strengths this weekend.
The final team will be announced on Saturday at 6:20pm.
More to come.
