CARLTON has cleaned up in the in AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award votes for its Round 6 win over Geelong.

Six Blues have polled votes following Sunday’s performance, with returning star Maddy Prespakis leading the charge with eight votes of her own.

Prespakis didn’t miss a beat in her return from suspension, as the reigning league MVP racked up 28 disposals, three tackles and a goal for her efforts.

Next up was co-captain Kerryn Harrington, who collective five votes for her performance down back.

The skipper produced her best performance yet in 2021, collecting 22 disposals, 10 intercept marks and four rebound 50s.

Grace Egan and Darcy Vescio came in next with four votes each: Egan for her chaos role through the midfield and Vescio for her consistent performance up forward.

Egan finished the day with 24 disposals and four tackles for her role through the centre, in a tireless showing around the contest.

Vescio was involved in nearly every scoring opportunity for Carlton on Sunday afternoon, slotting two of her own goals as well involvement in several others.

Ruck Breann Moody and half-back Gab Pound rounded out the count with two and one votes respectively.
