THE AFL has today confirmed that footy fans will make a long-awaited return to Victorian stadiums in 2021, with Carlton’s AAMI Community Series clash with St Kilda on Thursday night marking the first competitive AFL hitout in front of a crowd in 361 days.
At this stage, capacity for both the AAMI Community Series and 2021 AFL Premiership Season will be capped at 50,000 at the MCG and Marvel Stadium will also be at 50 per cent capacity (a total of 28,961).
During the home and away season, which kicks off in just under three weeks, home club members will be divided into three priority groups which the Club is working closely with the AFL to finalise.
Details will be communicated to members via email in the coming weeks once they have been confirmed.
