Carlton vice-captain Nick Stevens was a special guest of Hyundai at Sunday night’s TV Week Logies. Nick and his partner Jacqui Newton joined Swimming sensation Leisel Jones and partner Marty Pask and Socceroo Legend John Aloisi and his wife Angela on the star-studded Hyundai table for the Awards.
Hyundai, Carlton’s joint major sponsor, was an official partner of the TV Week Logies and delivered many of the stars in luxury to the red carpet in the stylish Hyundai Grandeur and Sonata.
Over 50 celebrities including Georgie Parker, Megan Gale and Jennifer Hawkins were given the red carpet treatment by Hyundai.
“Hyundai is thrilled to have welcomed Australia’s TV stars to the Logie Awards for 2008. We thought it was only fitting that Hyundai’s award winning range showed their support for another night of great Australian Awards,” said Tiffanny Junee, Manager Corporate Communications and Media for Hyundai Motor Company Australia.
“As the joint major sponsor of the Carlton Football Club it was appropriate that one of the Carlton stars joined celebrities and sporting greats to be part of such an occasion,” Tiffanny added.
Nick caught up with a number of Carlton supporters at the Logies, including Dave Hughes, Vince Colosimo, Sandra Sully and David Brown from Seven News.
The Award winning Hyundai i30 was featured in the ‘green room’ during the telecast with Hamish and Andy, from Australia’s number one radio program, interviewing TV celebrities during the telecast. (Adding to the Carlton flavour with Andy being a True Blue Carlton supporter. It was a natural fit for the Hyundai i30, voted Australia’s green car of the year, to be linked to the ‘green room’ at the Logies.
Hyundai’s presence at the Logies red carpet coincides with the launch of Hyundai’s ESP safety advertising campaign, which popular Australian actress Georgie Parker will front. The ESP technology is the single most important safety measure to be introduced to cars since the seatbelt.
