CARLTON kicks off their 2019 Swisse VFLW campaign against the Casey Demons this Saturday at Casey Fields.
Several new faces will join the Blues VFLW line-up including some of best talent from around Victoria.
Fans will also be able to see some of their favourite AFLW superstars in action with Maddy Prespakis, Darcy Vescio and both Jess and Sarah Hosking set to pull on the boots for the Blues.

Despite a slow start to the year, Carlton were able to gain momentum at the back-end of the year finishing strongly with consecutive wins. Darcy Vescio was a standout throughout the year winning Team of the Year selection and the Club’s Best & Fairest award.

2019 list changes:
Carlton will see a host of players returning in 2019, with 14 players back to don the Navy Blue. There will be an additional 25 new players eager to prove themselves on the VFLW stage.

23rd player eligibility:
A 23rd player, who is usually an Under-18 player, can play four games. If the player intends to play another game after that limit, they would have to be named in the starting 22.
Eligible 23rd players:
Isabella Gietzmann, Taylah Manson, Cleo Faulks, Chloe Leighton, Gabrielle Newton, Britney Gutknecht, Phoebe Chisholm, Jaime Nelson, Marnie Jarvis.
Fixture:
The Blues will play their first home game at Latrobe University in Round 5 against the NT Thunder.
They will return to Ikon Park will be in Round 6 against the Western Bulldogs. Carlton will also have the chance to play at traditional grounds in Windy Hill (Round 4 against Essendon), Victoria Park (Round 10 against Collingwood) and Arden Street (Round 12 against Melbourne Uni).
The Blues will venture up north in Round 9 to play the Thunder at TIO Stadium for the first time. Four of the Blues’ VFLW matches will be double-headers with VFL matches.
